Woah started as a home-spun indie rock group from Charlotte, NC created by twin brothers Ruben and Michael Gomez and bassist Zac Tice in 2017. In 2020, Woah added lead guitarist Jackson Martin to thicken their sound and bring outsider artistic vision to the table.

In 2019, Woah found steady footing in the local grassroots scene as a live band. Not a group to rest on their laurels, they started work on an ambitious full-length LP, releasing four singles over the course of 2020 and early 2021.

It’s no understatement to say that “The Drive Back,” “It’s Not a Movie,” “Quiet Days”, and “Valleys” exploded onto the scene online. They instantly connected with a loyal and dedicated fanbase that hangs on their every word. Their newfound attention is no accident, each of their fresh singles showcases how much they’ve grown as songwriters, and shows off a polished and warm sound that could melt even the coldest heart.

Woah is primarily influenced by garage rock and bedroom pop, but are always looking to expand their horizons, especially as they continue working on songs that they prepared for a debut album.
